The Payments Corner LLC ("TPC") respects reader privacy. This policy describes what information TPC collects when you visit the site, how it is used, and the controls you have.
1. Information TPC collects
TPC collects the minimum information needed to operate the publication.
- Email address. Provided when you sign in via the passwordless email-code flow, or when you subscribe to the newsletter.
- Subscription tier. Stored by TPC to gate premium content.
- Site usage. Aggregate, anonymous page-view counts via Cloudflare Web Analytics. No IP addresses, no fingerprinting, no cross-site tracking.
TPC does not collect names, phone numbers, payment details, or location data on the site itself. Payment processing for any future paid tier will be handled by a third-party payment processor under its own terms; that vendor will be disclosed here when adopted.
2. How TPC uses information
- Operate authentication (sign you in, keep you signed in for thirty days).
- Enforce tier-gated content access.
- Send transactional email (sign-in codes, double-opt-in confirmations) via Resend.
- Send the newsletter via Resend Broadcasts when you opt in.
- Diagnose site issues using aggregate analytics.
TPC does not sell reader information. TPC does not share reader information with advertisers — there are none.
3. Third-party processors
Two vendors handle reader data on TPC's behalf:
- Resend — email service provider. Sends sign-in codes, subscription confirmations, and the newsletter.
- Cloudflare — hosting, security, analytics, and the database that holds your subscription record. Sees request metadata required to serve pages.
Each vendor is bound by its own privacy policy and terms.
4. Cookies
See the Cookie Policy for the full inventory of cookies TPC sets, their purposes, and lifetimes. TPC does not run third-party advertising or behavioural cookies.
5. Data retention
- Active sessions expire after thirty days of inactivity.
- Sign-in codes are stored for ten minutes and discarded on use.
- Subscription records persist as long as you remain a subscriber, plus a reasonable archive window for accounting.
- Aggregate analytics are retained at the vendor (Cloudflare) per their policy.
6. Your rights
You may unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time using the link in any newsletter footer. You may request deletion of your TPC subscription record by emailing contact@thepaymentscorner.com. Deletion is irreversible.
If you are located in the EU, UK, or California, applicable data-protection law (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA) grants you additional rights — access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability. Direct requests to the same address.
7. Children
TPC is written for adult readers operating in the payments industry. The site is not directed at children under thirteen and does not knowingly collect information from them.
8. International transfers
TPC operates from the United States. Use of the site implies consent to processing in the U.S. and at vendor locations described above.
9. Changes to this policy
TPC will update this policy when materially changed. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes (new categories of data collected, new processors) will be flagged in a newsletter notice.
10. Contact
