Card networks are moving to formalize agent identity infrastructure before regulatory bodies do it for them — a KYA framework co-developed with Ant International effectively extends the KYC perimeter to non-human payment initiators, forcing issuers and acquirers to revisit onboarding logic, liability assignment, and authentication flows that were built for human cardholders, not autonomous agents acting on their behalf.
