Stablecoin adoption is fundamentally a balance sheet problem before it is a payments problem — when deposit dollars migrate into on-chain instruments, banks lose the low-cost funding that underwrites interchange economics and credit capacity. Issuer processors and network operators need to treat stablecoin wallet integrations as a deposit displacement event now, not a distant infrastructure question.
